Welcome to the College of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Testing Center!
Purpose
The College of Arts and Sciences provides a secure, proctored environment in which face-to-face exams can be taken. We work with instructors to proctor exams for their undergraduate students who are not registered with Accessibility Resource Services (ARS) and who do not need testing accommodations as provided by ARS. In other words, we provide a proctored testing environment for students who are unable to take an exam at the normally scheduled time (with pre-arrangement by your instructor). Please note, we are not able to proctor remote, online exams.
If you are a student registered with Accessibility Resource Services, then you should visit their office.
For Undergraduate Students
Refer your instructor to this page.
For Faculty
Please read these instructions, then submit the Testing Center form (located at the bottom of the page).
Notice: We have a new document process!
If you DO NOT upload the exam with the request form, you must upload it to your Exam Upload folder in our Testing Center Document Exchange site by 48 hours before the desired exam time.
Site access information will be given to you after submitting the request form. New users will receive site access within the next business day of your form submission to upload your exam.
RETURNING COMPLETED EXAMS
Completed exams will be scanned and returned to your Completed Exams folder in the Testing Center Document Exchange site. We will retain the original hard-copies of the completed exams and will return them to the instructor upon request.
During our transition process, we will continue to maintain the previously used Canvas site.
Schedule
During the semester: We offer standing dates/times for secure exam proctoring on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10-4. All test times must be completed by 4pm when the facility closes. Instructors should indicate in the form below if they have date/time restrictions for the exam. Our staff will coordinate with the student to confirm a time. Note: If the exam is to be taken after sundown for a religious accommodation, please note that on the intake form (below) so that we can schedule it appropriately.
Exams are returned through our Testing Center Document Exchange site usually by end of day Friday for that week’s exams.
